Web and Digital Interface Designers

We are hiring a Web and Digital Interface Designers for one of our clients in Tampa FL.

Job Description:

• Perform an accessibility audit of HARTs external and internal websites and web applications.
• Develop and implement accessibility features for web applications and software.
• Evaluate accessibility of external platforms that host institutional content such as YouTube.
• Troubleshoot evaluate and recommend assistive software and hardware.
• Establish guidelines best practices and standards related to designing and maintaining accessible websites IT software systems and online materials.
• Work in collaboration with the accessible transit services IT services and the other departments.

Design and Production:

• Work with internal departments to develop accessible templates and tools for web production.
• Develop captioning resources for providing information regarding captioning videos published on institutional websites.
• Identify and implement tools for monitoring website accessibility.
• Create an accessibility report and presentations as needed.

Skills required:

• Four years of web design and production experience on a web development team.
• Three years of web accessibility analysis design and development experience.
• Experience working effectively in highly collaborative teamoriented environments.
• Experience in a higher education environment is preferable.
• Valid Florida Drivers License or be able to obtain one within in 10 days of hire of moving to the State of Florida.

Education required:

• Bachelors degree in Information or Graphic Design HumanComputer Interaction or related field or bachelors degree in another field and three years of experience. Masters degree preferred.

• Mon Fri 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• CLP: 12:00 PM 1:00 PM
