WAREHOUSE & LOGISTICS MANAGER (Permanent)
Our client an international company with its US headquarters in WNY is looking to hire a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to join their team. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the warehouse to ensure all shipping/receiving/handling is performed accurately ontime and in compliance
  • Manage 25 Warehouse & Logistics Team members providing guidance/mentorship when necessary and holding team accountable when targets aren t hit
  • Create schedules for all product distribution and coordinate both domestic and international shipments
  • Manage all intercompany shipments ensuring compliance with domestic & international customs/NAFTA procedures
  • Source 3rd party carriers and negotiate contracts as needed
  • Ensure customer satisfaction on a daily basis by confirming order shipments implementing sameday shipping procedures and developing an automated inventory receiving system
  • Respond to all customer complaints conducting investigations into the cause and ensure replacement of lost or damaged products
  • Adjust schedules and expand routes as issues arise communicating changes with customers as needed
  • Ensure shipping routes are all in compliance with interstate traffic laws/regulations
  • Track shipments and analyze data to implement changes and reduce cycle time
  • Analyze and adjust budgets outlining the financial impact that logistical changes will have and make recommendations to drive down costs
  • Analyze current processes to determine areas for improvement and implement changes while documenting new standard operating procedures
  • Ensure inventory accuracy both location and counts by conducting daily cycle counting as well as annual inventory audits
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications
  • Other duties as assigned/as necessary


Details:

  • Position is full time direct hire
  • 100% onsite 1st shift
  • Valid US Passport; Some travel to Toronto required
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent
  • $90000 $130000 annually depending on experience

  • 10 years experience in a fastpaced warehouse with import/export logistics & compliance
  • 5 years in leadership role with strong management training mentorship and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP
  • Strong analytical critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Selfmotivated
