Client intends to procure contracted services for a Systems Analyst 3.
The client is seeking one (1) highly motivated and capable Learning Management System Analyst specifically working with Blackboard as the college moves towards another Learning Management System Brightspace. This position will provide general and specific backend technical support of Blackboard as the current team works on building the new system out.
Support Needs for Blackboard:
Help Desk Ticket Support for Instructional and Operational needs
Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System
Application System Administration Experience
Blackboard Learning Management System Functional Understanding
Learning Management System development is desirable. Understanding LTIs APIs and integrations along with the ability to create flat files using necessary conventions
This consultant will report to the Director Administrative Applications
Consultant Title: Learning Management System (Blackboard) Analyst 3
To be successful in this role successful candidates should have:
Current knowledge of learning management systems particularly Blackboard along with other instructional technology and alternate methods of course and program delivery.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects of operating system security and related application development activities.
Previous Experience as an instructional technologist in a college environment is desirable.
Problem Solving capabilities and techniques
Demonstrated ability to facilitate the growth of mutually supportive working relationships between administrative support paraprofessional and instructional personnel.
Skill in communicating effectively orally technical presentations and writing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs Blackboard configuration as needed for optimization and proper operation.
Provides (highest level) third tier troubleshooting and resolution of Blackboard issues as reported to the Staff and Student Help Desks.
Manages the courses and systems and technologies that enable course development in Madison Colleges Learning Management System which is currently Blackboard.
Provide quality customer service and technical support to the campus community.

Qualifications
Minimum of two years of experience in Application Learning Management Systems instructional systems (or similar) within a college or training environment in industry or government preferred.
Must have demonstrated experience working with Blackboard.
The anticipated duration of this engagement is through June 2025. The consultants should be prepared to start by March 25th.

Pay range: $33 to $48 per hour on W2.
