Description;
The client is looking for 1 Cloud Engineer testing consultant that will assist them with moving their PeopleSoft System to the Cloud. It is currently being hosted by a Vendor in their Data Center and they are migrating to the Cloud specifically AWS.
Top Skills & Years of Experience: At least 3 years experience in the following
- Peoplesoft file transfer utility
- Peoplesoft process monitor/scheduler
- Peoplesoft Batch Jobs/manually running jobs
- Troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience testing PeopleSoft to ensure functionality in the Cloud preferably AWS
Nice to Have Skills:
- Peoplesoft application servers
- Experience with moving from a data center to AWS
- Experience with Peoplesoft integration broker
Interview Process: Teams
Duration of the Contract: 6 months
Onsite or Remote Open to nationwide candidates no Wisconsin residency required. 100% remote

Additional details: Work hours may vary depending on business needs. Must be independent and reliable as they will be the main resource on this project and will interact with the current datacenter provider
We have around 50 interfaces on our list to test in the AWS Test Environment.
Testing includes knowing how to:
- Determine if Batch Job or if it can be run manually o If manually determine where in the Menu it was added o Review internal documents to determine file path
- Run the program in File Transfer Utility o Familiar with Run Control ID and Effective Dating o Define pay calendars for Payroll testing. If data not set up the job would fail.
- Create the file
- Use FTP definition to send the file over to the vendor
- Use Process Scheduler Monitor to see ifjobs have been run successfully
- Troubleshoot issues under Process Detail and View Log/Trace under the File List and the .out file to see what errors show up if it fails o Examples: password in definition right file path connection not open firewalls not open SFTP error cant access file...
- If it fails work with our support vendor Sierra Cedar to look at the log files on the server using the PI (Process Instance number) and screen shots of error messages
- Even though it says Success verify with the vendor that they received the test file.
Pay range: $77 to $87 per hour on W2.
