Vulnerability Management Analyst

Job Title: Vulnerability Management Analyst

Job Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or related field. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or CompTIA Security are preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on vulnerability management threat intelligence or related areas. Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus Qualys or OpenVAS is required.
3. Technical Skills:

1. • Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments penetration testing and risk analysis.
   • Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities and exposure (CVE) databases Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) and other vulnerability assessment methodologies.
   • Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools for threat detection and response.
   • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python PowerShell or Bash for automation of vulnerability scanning and remediation tasks.
   • Ability to interpret and analyze security logs network traffic and other sources of security data.

1. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills to identify prioritize and mitigate security vulnerabilities effectively.
2. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate technical vulnerabilities and risks to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
3. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams including IT network operations and application development teams to remediate vulnerabilities and enhance overall security posture.
4. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate identification tracking and documentation of vulnerabilities and remediation efforts.
5. Adaptability: Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities and technologies in the cybersecurity landscape.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards such as PCI DSS HIPAA GDPR etc. and experience in ensuring systems and processes meet these requirements through vulnerability management practices.
7. Continuous Learning: Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends vulnerabilities and best practices in cybersecurity and vulnerability management.
