Elevate Patient Financial Solutions has an exciting career opportunity available as a Vice President of Data Science. Elevate Patient Financial Solutions serves hospital and health system clients revenue cycle management needs by helping patients connect with potential coverage and resolving complex claims. In order to improve outcomes for our healthcare clients Elevate is implementing a full data and AI program to increase the reach of its services driving business growth through the application of modern data science methods. Elevate seeks a Data Science Leader to lead the charge on a readytolaunch program of data and AI initiatives and build the data science roadmap for the organization.
Key Responsibilities In this role the Data Science leader will be responsible for:

• Acting as the companywide data science lead program managing multiple critical data and AI initiatives and directing the future of data science within the organization
• Coordinating multiple parties to launch data and AI initiatives beginning in Q1 2024. Key stakeholders include the internal technology organization business operators and P&L owners and thirdparty development partners
• Monitoring managing and optimizing program performance and impact assessing changes in patient interactions staff performance and healthcare provider client account performance and designing and recommending program changes as required
• Clearly communicating program performance and impact to business finance and board audiences

This role is currently an individual contributor position with an expectation of team growth in 2024. We expected that job duties will be split between:

• Program and stakeholder (internal and external) management
• Requirements gathering and translation into program design and enhancement
• Handsonkeyboard programming modelling and data analysis

Qualifications

• 8 years experience in a handson data science role
  • Clear familiarity and comfort with fundamental data science principles (model creation training evaluation ML ops and internal communication)
  • Demonstration of previous close coordination with DBA and dev ops staff is ideal
  • Programming experience with some variety of data science data management and data visualization tools; for example R Python SQL SAS PowerBI
  • Familiarity with data warehouses data architecture and data operations principles
• Demonstrated experience in managing a data science initiative/program/function within an organization including accountability to a program outcome managing internal and external stakeholders (up to Csuite/executive level) and vendor management
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar application lifecycle management tools is an asset
• Healthcare analytics experience is required; revenue cycle management digital patient engagement/omnichannel engagement are each an asset
• People leadership experience is an asset but not immediately required. An otherwise aligned candidate with limited/no leadership experience will not be eliminated from consideration on this basis
