Intello Consulting is working with a Sports League helping them in the search for a Vice President of Information Technology. Please see below for details on the role and responsibilities.

Position Type: FullTime

Position Purpose: The Vice President of Information Technology oversees all aspects of the Information Technology Department for a prominent sports organization. This role entails managing budgeting staffing development planning system architecture data strategy technology innovation operational efficiency and stadium operations.

Duties And Responsibilities
Specific duties include but not limited to:
  • Collaborating with relevant departments within the sports organization and other franchises.
  • Staying updated on technology advances and trends and exploring new technologies for future implementation.
  • Supporting local and national broadcast infrastructure.
  • Executing strategic planning processes and risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity platform.
  • Leading security and risk committees.
  • Leading data strategy initiatives and maintaining domain and cloud architecture strategy.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with league entities and strategic partners.
  • Managing technology budgets.
  • Consulting on business software selection and implementation.
  • Managing support and help desk functions.
  • Participating in league and club peer committees and working groups.
  • Assessing and recommending innovative opportunities for the business.
  • Executing plans to achieve desired organizational capabilities and future states.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • Eight or more years of professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced professional certifications preferred.
  • Proven ability to coach mentor and train teams effectively.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical staff.
  • Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail.
  • Experience with ticketing systems pointofsale systems and systems security preferred.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Oncall availability as assigned.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
