Tasks

• Assist veterinarians in caring for animals by restraining animals during exams and procedures
• Feed bathe and exercise animals as directed by veterinary staff
• Clean and maintain animal cages exam rooms and equipment
• Administer medications and treatments to animals under the supervision of a veterinarian
• Educate pet owners on basic animal care and provide followup instructions after appointments

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with animals
• Ability to assist veterinarians with medical procedures
• Excellent communication skills with pet owners
• Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
• Willingness to learn and take direction from supervising veterinarians
