Responsible for ensuring that all vessels sailing out of port are properly planned and reconciled, while ensuring that all containers received at the pier are reflected in the companys internal database system and are timely assigned to be loaded onto vessels. Handle capacity and allocation to guarantee vessels sail out at full capacity. Assemble and verify the accuracy of export documentation to ensure that every shipment loaded aboard a vessel is manifested. Ensure that before containers are loaded, all necessary export documentation, including auto licenses, customs release documentation, and hazardous materials documentation is properly recorded and meets industry regulatory requirements. Further ensure that all containers are documented and registered with the proper commodities, weight details, ports of discharge, and final destinations. Responsible for performing necessary calculations in order to draft and timely transmit to Marine Operations vessel bay plans containing stowage plans and all relevant information about the containers, including all necessary adjustments, and listing where all containers are to be loaded on each vessel. Review logistics and vessel reconciliation performance. Serve as the primary liaison between the Terminal and the Stevedores to ensure that work is done timely and efficiently and documentation meets requirements. Facilitate communications between the companys commercial department, Marine Operations, terminal operators, stevedores, and port authorities.
Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as an Export Documentation Analyst, Logistics Analyst, or related. Related experience must be in the U.S. freight forwarding/container carrying industry and must include experience with export documentation, including customs release documentation, and hazardous materials documentation.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Transportation Management, or a related field
