Responsibilities
1. Internal Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams to understand and address vendor requirements effectively.
2. Vendor Identification:
Conduct nationwide travel to identify potential vendors and suppliers ensuring a diverse and robust vendor pool.
3. Networking and Events:
Attend major exhibitions and BNI events to establish and nurture relationships with potential vendors.
4. Documentation and Empanelment:
Collect and verify necessary documents from vendors to initiate the empanelment process ensuring compliance with company standards.
5. Collaboration with Contracts & Procurement:
Work closely with Contracts & Procurement team members providing them with empanelled vendors for further evaluation and processing.
6. Performance Assessment:
Periodically assess the performance of empanelled vendors implementing improvement plans as needed to ensure quality and reliability.
7. Travel Requirements:
Demonstrate a willingness to frequently travel to various locations across the country to meet vendor needs and enhance relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in relevant field
- 57 years of proven experience in vendor management or a related role
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor relations
