Polestar is blazing a new trail dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. Your experience as a Vehicle Motion System Engineer would be invaluable to us both in software development and attribute tuning.

Your contribution

Vehicle Motion is a team responsible for complete Software and Electronics development for steering and braking therefore we have diverse engineers consisting of Function Developers Embedded SW Developers Electronics Engineers SW Tuning and Calibration Engineers. In our team you will have the opportunity to have diverse work responsibilities and follow the different stages of the vehicle project.

The area of responsibility covers all steering and brake software and electronics development and spans over all Polestar programs.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Deliver System and Function Design with correctly documented requirement sets.
• Analyse and agree incoming requirements.
• Ensure a common solution synced with Function Developers Software Developers ECU developers and Vehicle Development teams.
• Deliver PHAR FSC TSC and translate them into Safety Requirements in accordance with ISO26262 and provide System Safety Plan
• Plan the system development according to the Function Implementation Plan (FIP)
• Track DVP
• Support technical discussions with suppliers internal teams and partner OEM(s)
• Ensure correct working of the systems and functions invehicle and perform necessary troubleshooting sensor calibration etc.

In addition youll need the following qualifications:

• Degree qualified within Automotive engineering Mechatronics engineering or similar area
• Good knowledge and understanding of Vehicle Motion or Chassis SW&E System/Function Design
• Previous experience with MBSE Requirement Handling.
• Good knowledge of the processes and concepts used in functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508
• Furthermore looking for individuals who are enthusiastic passionate transparent motivated and wellorganized. You are a strong communicator and youre not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods.
• Driver license.
