VDOT Program Manager Business Data Management 3 days wk/ onsite required

**Local Richmond VA candidates only please
**Assignment to be extended beyond 6/30 possibly 612 months
**Contractor will be responsible for purchasing parking through VDOT s Parking Management Office or procuring their own parking

The VDOT Program Manager Business Data Management Architect will participate in an enterprise datamanagement program. As a participant this role will need to coordinate withbusiness architecture data architecture enterprise architecture staff datastewards and data custodians. The Business Data Management Architect will beresponsible for leveraging expertise in data modeling to design and implementeffective data management processes. This position requires defining andutilizing taxonomies for enhanced data organization classification andretrieval contributing to improved metadata management. You will need to become familiar with VDOTs BusinessCapability Model and participate in developing and maturing an enterprise datamodel enterprise data flows and road maps. This position will requirefamiliarity (or the development of familiarity) with the National InformationExchange Model the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities Infrastructure andEnvironment and other standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in data modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between business architecture and National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) standards.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in metadata management including taxonomies and enhancing data quality.
• Experience in overseeing the complete data lifecycle within a complex organizational structure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
