To strengthen our business team, we are looking for a Key Account Manager (m/f/d) to support our launch in Cairo, Egypt! Together with you, we would like to scale and expand our existing business in Cairo.

Your role

As a Key Account Manager (m/w/d) you will report directly to our Head of Growth, Egypt and you will identify and grow business opportunities across Cairo. The following tasks fall within your area of responsibility:

  • Identification and acquisition of new (self-funded) corporates, large enterprises, insurance companies, TPA s and HMO s.
  • Management of existing customers and expansion of customer relationships.
  • Oversee customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Achieve and overachieve individual monthly sales targets by delivering business value to our clients.
  • Develop our offering and pitch for corporates, doctors and insurances together with our Growth team in Berlin.
  • Reporting to the organization through CRM and other reporting tools
  • Support in all phases of cooperation with our strategic partners in Egypt, e.g. strategic planning and execution of growth initiatives tailored to the Egyptian market.
  • Be the spearhead of Vara in the Egyptian market - you will be on the front line, so your experiences and feedback are mission-critical to taking our company to the next level.

Your profile

  • 5-7+ years of professional experience in a similar role. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
  • (must-have) Prior work experience in the insurance or pharmaceutical industry.
  • (preferred) Prior work experience in the healthcare / medical field.
  • (preferred) Significant network among the top level management of corporates (1000+ employees).
  • Fluency in Arabic and English language skills at a business fluent level are required.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive results independently
  • Excellent comprehension, very good analytical skills, exceptional commitment, great communication skills and proven ability as a team player.
  • Willingness to take responsibility, to contribute to conceptual and operational planning sessions with strong ideas, to handle relationships with partners with an entrepreneurial perspective.
  • Strong detail orientation, ability to think outside of the box, and cap to manage multiple projects in parallel in a highly dynamic and ever changing work environment.
