Validation Test Engineer

Job Description:

• Must have 5 years of experience in commercial vehicle industry and understanding end user needs
• Import Instrumentation signals thermal couple and pressure sensors fuel flow meters and stain gauges within data acquisition suites CANape CANalyzer EDAC hardware.
• Perform local testing support for DVPR Onhighway Chassis Dyno Proving Ground based on test request requirements.
• Perform remote testing support for WT/ST activities to support DVPR Onhighway Chassis Dyno Proving Ground based on test request requirements.
• Prepare and maintain vehicles and systems used to support test activities
• Develops conducts and coordinates full vehicle mechatronic and mechanical system functional performance fuel economy durability mechanisms and reliability testing including material testing and failure analysis
• Provide vehicle build spec/direction to implement hardware instrumentation and vehicle data acquisition suites.
• Support and direction to technicians to install and removal of vehicle hardware instrumentation electronic components and data acquisition suites.
• Methodically troubleshoot and identify problems with vehicle hardware instrumentation electronic components and data acquisition suites.
• Interface with requesting engineering personnel to troubleshoot and analyze problems encountered during Local/Remote DVPR testing.
• Follow Reporting structure and Issue Tracking defined protocols.
