Our client a new casual dining and takeaway restaurant featuring an eclectic Asian and Japanese menu is seeking two experienced Sushi Chefs for their Berlin location. Ideal candidates will possess expertise in Japanese culinary techniques especially sushi preparation and have a flair for Asian cuisine to navigate seamlessly between two distinct kitchen environments.
As a Sushi Chef youll be an integral part of our culinary team responsible for preparing a wide variety of sushi dishes and contributing to our diverse menu which includes traditional Japanese favorites as well as innovative Asian fusion dishes.
- Prepare highquality sushi dishes including rolls sashimi and nigiri following traditional Japanese techniques and Sushicos unique recipes.
- Assist in the Asian cuisine kitchen when needed showcasing versatility in culinary skills across both Japanese and broader Asian dishes.
- Ensure the freshness and quality of fish and other ingredients maintaining Sushicos high standards for food safety and hygiene.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and special dishes.
- Manage inventory and order supplies to ensure the kitchen is wellstocked while minimizing waste.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef with a solid foundation in Japanese culinary techniques and sushi preparation.
Familiarity with Asian cuisine capable of working across two distinct kitchen setups.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation.
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment both independently and as part of a team.
Eligibility to work in the EU
