Job Title: Tour Guide 39091 John Deere

Description:

  • Ensures that all stakeholders and guests to the Attractions (Pavilion Tractor & Engine Museum Historic Site World Headquarters display floor) receive an exceptional experience.
  • Trained to provide guided tour or information to those interested in learning more about the companys history global operations and its equipment and services.
  • Public speaking and customer service training for all levels of tours (including VIP and Dignitary).
  • Prepare exhibits and facility for opening/closing.
  • Assist in all general daily activities as needed.
  • Ongoing training and development.
  • Be an ambassador for all community attractions and businesses.
  • Present educational programming for students preK through high school to meet state core curriculum standards.
  • Work special events including coordination support setup teardown.
  • Availability to work during a 7 day a week operation including holidays.
  • The hours of operation for the facility are Monday from 15 TuesdaySaturday from 95 closed on Sunday.
  • Looking for someone to work 1530 hours per week.

Job Duties

  • Ensures that all guests to the Pavilion receive an exceptional experience.
  • Performs opening and closing procedures for the facility.
  • Performs front desk information operations administrative duties.
  • Assist in all general daily activities as needed.
  • Receives ongoing training and development.
  • Works special events including set up and tear down.
  • Has availability to work during a 7dayaweek operation including holidays.
  • Acts as an ambassador for all community attractions and businesses.
  • Greet guests tour groups etc.
  • Answer the main Pavilion phone line at the front desk
  • Take tour reservation with guests via phone
  • Greet visitors/groups and give a short overview of the selfguided Pavilion layout

Required Skills

  • Candidates should have a friendly outgoing personality and be comfortable interacting with Pavilion guests
  • Ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • High level of customer service and professionalism
  • Some computer experience would be helpful
  • Previous experience working in a museum is a plus

Additional Information:

  • This will be an Onsite position
  • Should have availability MondaySaturday (closed on Sunday)
  • Local candidates only
