Job Description

*Temporary Role : Immediately to 31 May 2024

To perform all activities necessary to process one or more payrolls accurately and on time as well as manage/oversee a wide variety of record keeping.


Key Performance Outputs
  • Collecting calculating and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Compiling summaries of earnings taxes deductions and leave and ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently
  • Processes terminations including paying out final pay final deductions paying out vacation balances and verifying final hours worked.
  • Ensure that leave is accurately and timeously captured and that the accrued leave is managed monthly including leave in lieu of overtime.
  • Respond to ad hoc UI19 requests: terminations and maternity leave etc
  • Maintenance of payroll reports to satisfy payroll requirements.
  • Integrity maintained over all data in the Payroll system.
  • Import and monitor the integration of Payroll and Tax and administration
  • systems.
  • Perform a first review of payroll prior submitting to management for review.
  • Provide ethical audit information as required.
  • Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings taxes deductions leave etc.
  • Receive calls regarding confirmation of employment.
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.




Requirements

Minimum Educational / Qualification / Experience

  • 3year National Diploma or BCom Degree in Human Resource Management Industrial Relations or equivalent.
  • 2 years relevant experience in similar role.
Functional / Technical
  • Basic Human Resource legislation especially those relevant to everyday operations i.e. BCEA LRA etc.
  • Working knowledge of Skills Development and Equity Acts.
  • Knowledge of Farm Trace and VIP will be advantageous.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and able to travel frequently.
  • Strong computer literacy: MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Strong people management relationship building and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
