Role: Tier 1/Tier 2 Unix Support Administrator

Location: Salt Lake City UT

Work Arrangement: Hybrid


Interview Type: Webcam/Onsite

Note: Local profiles to Salt Lake City UT or within commutable distance. ID & address proof is required.

*Role will require 1 weekend day every week. Weekend days are onsite. Possible Schedules are Tuesday Saturday

Description:

As a Linux Administrator you will be the Tier 1 / Tier 2 support of the Business systems in a 24x7 followthesun model. This will entail alert management OS troubleshooting and working to restore service in a robust Enterprise Environment.

Monitoring of Linux/Unix systems.

Troubleshooting of systems.

Alert Management.

Incident Management.

Working with clients across our Business Units to maintain and restore service.

Automation of activities through scripting and configuration management.

Working with Hardware teams to maintain the physical server estate.

Documentation of processes and procedures for the team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Red Hat Linux Administration.
  • 3 years of Unix/Linux systems administration experience.
  • Strong core OS troubleshooting experience.
  • Scripting experience in Shell Bash Perl and/or Python.
  • Virtualization experience in VMware.
  • Networking knowledge/skills.
  • Experience installing configuring and maintaining enterprisegrade server hardware such as HP and Dell rackmount servers.
  • Experience using remote management interfaces like Dell iDRAC HP iLO VMware vCenter/vSphere.
  • An automationfirst mindset.
  • Incident management experience.
  • Prior experience in the Financial Service Industry.
  • Prior Enterprise experience.
  • Relevant certifications.

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree (U.S. or equivalent) in a Science or Engineering program or equivalent experience.
