Due to growth and expansion manufacturer is adding a Test Engineer to their established engineering team. As the Test Engineer you will report to an Engineering Manager and will work closely with other engineers and the site expert to develop and work in the manufacturers test environment/lab. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Learn about current manufacturing processes practices and product lines
• Review and access current test and R&D processes
• With assistance from the engineering manager and site experts develop the site lab environment
• Perform theoretical analysis on companys mechanical products
• Run and set up tests and verify performance
• Assist with product improvements and performance improvement
• Perform data analysis
• Create test schedules and track and analyze test data
• Learn testing procedures
• Assist with the procurement of test equipment for the lab
• Support production with CapEx analysis and selection
• Work on product optimization and development
• Design in AutoCAD and Inventor to develop new product lines
• Other duties as delegated by management

This is a handson position that requires qualified candidates to spend the majority of their time working in a test environment. Individuals should enjoy working in a laid back environment take ownership of projects willing to learn processes from tenured employees be able to handle multiple projects and prioritization.

REQUIREMENTS for the Test Engineer:
1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Minimum of one coop or internship related to test product development and/or R&D
3. Experience with FEA modeling
4. Experience with DOE (Design of Experiments)
5. 3D modeling
6. Mechanical aptitude
7. Microsoft Office including strong Excel skills related to charts graphs and formulas

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Inventor software
2. Welding and fabrication experience
3. MS Project
4. Mechanical component design experience
5. Metals manufacturing
