We are seeking a team player to join our team as an Entry Level Shipping & Receiving Clerk!

This is a Temp to Hire role in Wendell NC!

Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision the Shipping/Receiving Clerk will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Lift unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices maintains record of received goods. Receives internal PO s requested via email.
  • Transfer material into storage locations.
  • Pick and deliver Accessory work orders and raw material stock requisitions to various departments.
  • Operates hand and powered material handling equipment.
  • Load unload delivers materials chemicals and other products including 55 gallon drums. Stacks stores chemicals in chemical shed and maintains rotation of drums to ensure first in first out stock.
  • Pick/pack prepare hazardous & nonhazardous domestic & international customer orders for final shipment to the customer.
  • Cycle counting and physical inventory.
  • Prepare Hazmat documentation.
  • Coordinates with freightforwarders/carrier activities

Requirements :

  • High school or GED
  • 24 years of related experience
  • MUST HAVE strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • MUST HAVE good communication and interpersonal skills
  • MUST HAVE good problem solving & good decisionmaking skills
  • BONUS: experience with Air Waybill (AWB)
  • BONUS: experience with Automated Export System (AES) filing
  • Computer skills using PC and radio frequency devices; understanding warehouse operations
  • Candidate needs to be able to stand lift (up to 50 pounds) bend/squat push/pull
  • Experience with shipping domestic and international using third party systems (ex: FedEx UPS)
