Temp - Tech - Special Procedures Varied Bay City MI

Under the direction and supervision of a radiologist/physician performs specialized radiographic procedures. Also performs general diagnostic procedures as required.

1. Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring providers orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policies and procedures.
2. Educates patients and families regarding procedures and/or treatment to be performed.
3. Produces highquality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
4. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
5. Maintains a safe environment for patients personnel and visitors. Adheres to radiation safety policies.
6. Accountable for the ethical legal and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining the confidentiality of all work information.
7. Assures the efficient operation of the workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure noninterruption of service.
8. Performs other related duties as required and directed.

• Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program Required
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist Required
• One year related job experience Required
• Need Cath lab and IR experience Required

• A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred.
• Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit it would be in the travelers best interest to provide a writeup of what happened for the managers review.
• Physical copies of certifications are only required in the profile if listed above.
• Fulltime employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
