Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct telephonic or online counseling sessions with empathy and compassion
• Provide emotional support and guidance to clients in distress
• Assess clients mental health and provide appropriate counseling
• Utilize active listening and counseling skills to address clients concerns
• Offer crisis intervention and suicide prevention support
• Document client interactions and progress notes accurately
• Collaborate with mental health professionals for referrals and followups
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
• Follow organizational protocols and standards for telecounselling
• Provide information and resources for mental health support
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
• Manage time effectively to serve a diverse caseload

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in psychology counseling or related field
• Proven experience in counseling or mental health services
• Strong understanding of telecounselling techniques and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy and ability to provide nonjudgmental support
• Knowledge of mental health resources and crisis intervention
• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize client needs
• Adherence to ethical and confidentiality standards
• Professional certification in counseling or telecounselling (preferred)
• Proficiency in using telecommunication and online platforms
