Technical Purchaser

Our client is a company, active in the design, construction, and manufacture of high-tech machines for the maintenance, renewal, and measurement of railways all over the world, they wish to strengthen their Purchasing department and are looking for a Technical Purchaser - Electrotechnic Group Leader.

Responsibilities:

• Management of the purchasing team (4 people) electronics / electrical engineering / indirect (IS/IT etc.)
  
• Purchase and subcontracting of parts on the basis of technical drawings in close collaboration with the Technical Office, Production, and Industrial.
  
• Technological monitoring and management of components in the obsolescence phase.
  
• Market analysis and research of potential suppliers.
  
• Cost reduction, risk forecasting, and search for innovative solutions.
  
• Evaluation of suppliers and subcontractors under contract.
  
• Supplier audits.
  
• Management of non-conformity.
  
• Follow-up of the complete purchasing and subcontracting process until delivery.
  

Requirements

• HES in electrical engineering supplemented by a buyers certificate or equivalent.
  
• Ability to read electronic/electrical diagrams and understand various manufacturing processes of electronic sub-assemblies.
  
• Experience as a Confirmed Buyer in the field of electronics related to the field of machinery/railway industry.
  
• Diplomat and a good negotiator.
  
• Excellent priority management, organized and methodical.
  
• French, English, German, and other European languages are an asset.
  
• Ability to work in a team, flexible, and available for short trips.
