You are the Technical Lead Engineer for all engineering activities relating to the automation of medium and high voltage switchgear for our projects in Germany and the HUB Europe region based in Mannheim.
As a Technical Lead Engineer ensure that engineering testing and commissioning activities are carried out efficiently and costeffectively in accordance with customer expectations contract specifications quality standards and safety requirements.
Your area of responsibility:
Act as a technical lead and link between the customer and the various specialist departments
Coordinate all technical activities throughout the entire project period
Work closely with customers to develop and deliver solutions and utilise feedback to drive innovative improvements and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Close collaboration with colleagues and engineers from various disciplines exchange of technical knowledge and best practices across the borders of the HUB Europe region
Preparation of basic design of automation control and protection systems for substations
Undertaking parts of the detailed design testing or commissioning activities depending on the project requirements
Support the project manager in appointing subcontractors and coordinating the technical aspects with the subcontractors
Assist the project manager in estimating the remaining cost effort and in recording and tracking changes in the project scope including assessing their cost and time impact
Support the proposal team through feedback from ongoing projects and participation in the technical development of new proposals
Health Safety and Environment (HSE): Adhere to and exemplify company health safety and environmental policies
Taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the company
Medium travel activity mainly in Europe
Your background:
Bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in substation automation or similar projects
High communication skills fluent in spoken and written English and German
Knowledge of substation control protection and automation systems
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills coupled with strong business acumen and a resultsoriented mindset
Ability to communicate/discuss complex technical topics with customers
A high level of curiosity
