Technical Assistant in the Laboratory mfd I Plectonic

The mission of Plectonic is to utilize advanced DNA nanotechnology to optimize cancer immunotherapies. Current antibodybased approaches have shown promising results in combating tumors. However the risk of an immune system overreaction often leads to undesirable side effects. Plectonic is working on an innovative solution: a tiny DNA nanoswitch. This switch selectively targets tumor cells and enables targeted activation of the immune system to combat these cells. Known as LOGIBODY this novel method could make cancer immunotherapy more effective and minimize unwanted side effects. Plectonic is supported by SPRIND Germanys Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation for the next five years to bring LOGIBODY into clinical application. Our R&D team is seeking an experienced and dedicated Technical Assistant (m/f/d) capable of undertaking diverse activities in cell culture and laboratory support.

Tasks

As a Technical Assistant in the laboratory you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Cell Culture:

• Preparation and maintenance of cell cultures including seeding passaging and freezing cells.
• Conducting assays and experiments using various cell biology and molecular biology techniques. o Microscopic examination of cell cultures to evaluate cell morphology and growth. o Documentation and analysis of experimental data and results.
• Adherence to sterility and safety regulations in handling cell cultures.

Lab Support:

• Preparation of solutions and reagents for laboratory use.
• Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Management of laboratory inventory including ordering consumables and reagents.
• Compliance with laboratory policies safety regulations and quality standards.
• Assistance in organizing and cleaning the laboratory.

Requirements

• Completed training as a Technical Assistant BTA MTA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in cell culture and knowledge of molecular biology techniques are advantageous. Meticulous work ethic teamwork skills and a high degree of independence.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good PC skills and experience in documenting and analyzing data.
• Fluent German language skills in both written and spoken; English language skills are a plus.
