Uppstuk is now looking for a System Administrator to an independent nonprofit organisation that works with international ITservices and scientific research. The foundation is based in Uppsala and is a world leader in promoting safer use of medicines globally. The foundation is now in need of an addition to one of their teams.

We are looking for a Sysadmin who wants to be part of the development journey we are facing. Along this journey parts of the sysadmin tasks will evolve and change as we move our server operations from a managed server service to a hybrid cloud solution. We are therefore looking for someone who is curious and already has started to acquire new skills or who has realized and is looking forward to the need to further develop your skills in the future.

The team you will be part of is therefore facing several changes in the coming years. To fit in we think you like development and new ideas.

Today the system administrator is responsible for:

• The internal helpdesk (IT support to employees) the Digital Workplace
• Hardware
• Office365 and all office applications
• Support/development of Office365 in the form of Teams admin automated processes for HR for on/offboarding administration of our SharePoint.
• Monitoring of the external and internal IT services.
• Support in procurement of applications e.g. CRM and configuring these for the needs of the business

Our goal for the future is that the team will work close with our DevOps teams which will include:

• Infrastructure as Code IaC a lot that we did manually will now be automated with e.g. Powershell script or similar.
• The DW (Digital Workplace) team will support our DevOps teams with the setup and maintenance of our infrastructure and services in our hybrid cloud.
• Application teams monitor their own applications
• The DW team monitors common services and infrastructure services (you will be part of this team)

Therefore it is the best match and you will thrive best if you are interested in cloud technologies (specifically Azure) but also of course are a serviceminded person who likes to support your colleagues.

To thrive perform and develop in this role we are looking for someone who has expertise in:

• Microsoft Azure automated configuration and monitoring of infrastructure services
• Windows client management in the form of PC support and automation of device management e.g. with Windows Autopilot. Have experience with MS Defender and Intune.
• Office 365 e.g. Exchange Online Sharepoint Teams.

In addition you need to have a good sense of order and be able to organise your own work effectively and also to support others in structuring. Although there are parallel tasks it is important to be able to finish and deliver before taking on new tasks.

You will work with many different types of people which provides a good energy and variety it also sets the requirement that you appreciate are able to and find it stimulating to communicate with different types of people.
