Tax Manager

Salary: $ 90,000.00

We have partnered with a tax and consulting firm in the Rockwell, TX area to provide them with a Tax Manager.

Responsibilities of the Tax Manager:

• Tax Preparation of mid to complex level (1040s, 1065s, 1120s, state).
• Review tax preparation (low to mid-level complexity)
• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist clients with tax planning needs
• Meet processing and reporting deadlines.

Requirements of the Tax Manager:

• Minimum of 3+ years of recent experience
• Bachelors or Masters in Accounting or Taxation
• CPA NOT required, but a plus!
• Superior technical skills
• Self-starter with the confidence to take initiative
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to see a project through
• QuickBooks Certification NOT required, but a plus!
• Experience in real estate is a huge plus.
• Assist clients with sales and use tax calculations and report preparation
• Have the willingness to jump in anywhere needed, even if it's 'beneath' your job description
