Systems Engineer Mechatronics (w/m/d)

Job Summary:

Mechatronic R&D Systems Engineer for automotive steering products, as well as the moderation and management of D-FMEAs for a state of the art development process.

Tasks

Responsibilities:

• Definition and technical alignment of system architecture of sensors in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders in compliance with ISO26262
• Alignment and tracking of system requirements through the development lifecycle including change management and Traceability Matrices (Polarion or similar)
• Support of the development team in the definition of verification and validation tests sufficiently covering the requirements as well as the creation of safety concepts and analyses like TSC, FTA, FMEDA, CCA, Interface Analysis, etc.
• D-FMEA Moderation

1. Implementing the DFMEA process in compliance with AIAG & VDA in APIS IQ RM tool.
2. Support of the definition of special characteristics
3. Alignment of top-level effects with internal and external stakeholders
4. Tracking risk level through the development lifecycle
5. Presentation of DFMEA during external and internal audits.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Technical relevant educational background in Mecatronics, Electronics, Physics or equivalent
• Experience with processes and methods of product development in the automotive sector
• Experience with formal requirements definition processes (ISO 26262, IATF 16949)
• Experience in conducting DFMEAs after AIGA & VDA, ideally APIS IQ RM knowledge
• Ability to work in terms and independently; ability to communicate development status and results to the team and constructively implement feedback from the development team
• Very good technical English skills, German knowledge is a plus
