System Engineer

On behalf of the hiring company an established IT company we are looking for a suitable candidate to join them as System Engineer.

Overview:

The System Engineer (Resident Engineer) provides the Management and Operational Support to customer onsite.

The onsite network service provide operational support for system operations which includes but not limited to the following systems:

• Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services support including DNS GPO.
  
• VMWare vSphere vCenter & VDI support.
  
• Server Backup Operational support (perform regular backup and backup verification activities).
  
• Patch Management support (rollout of server patches).
  
• Antivirus deployment support (rollout support and monitoring).
  
• Cloud services operational support (AWS Azure Microsoft Office 365 etc).
  
• General Server support including health checks (mostly based on Microsoft Windows 2012 Servers and native services).
  
• Process changes requests (service requests).
  
• Assist in updating the SOP.
  
• Generate regular reports of resources.
  
• Any other duties as assigned.
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
  
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in supporting IT facility management Services for solutions on AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
  
• AWS / MCSA certifications will be an added advantage.
  
• Knowledge in setup and maintenance of MS Exchange / Sharepoint will be an added advantage.
  
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix will be an added advantage.
