Job Title: System Administrator
- Location: Lexington MA
- Job Type: W2 Contract
Background/Need
Communication Systems and Cyber Security Division to support G62 Advanced RF Techniques and System. You will assist with development of new technologies that enable worldwide networked operations for the military and other government agencies. The division addresses the needs of nextgeneration satellite airborne and terrestrial networks using its core expertise in radio frequency (RF) fiber and freespace optics cyber security network protocols and services information operations communications processing and speech and language technologies. The division is extensively involved in field experimentation and measurement campaigns to verify algorithms and architectural concepts in operational environments.
Major Responsibilities:
Install update and troubleshoot systems/servers.
Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.
Plan execute and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
Conduct periodic system maintenance including cleaning (both physically and electronically) disk checks routine reboots data dumps and testing.
Provide ongoing optimization and problemsolving support
A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
Experience with scripting languages like Powershell Bash or Ansible.
BS in a related field or equivalent Military or other government service accepted
Strong customer facing skills/experience
Able to diagnose and perform repairs on faulty system/server hardware.
Experience managing system/server resources including performance capacity availability serviceability and recoverability.
Experience managing classified IT systems STIGs SCAPS RMF
Mac experience
Experience with virtual machines. (e.g. Microsoft HyperV VMWare vSphere Citrix XenDesktop/Server Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud etc.).
Network administration experience is also desirable which includes managing data center and small network configurations: switches routers firewalls modern software management and monitoring tools some knowledge of automation technique.
Experience maintaining directory services. (e.g. Microsoft Active Directory LDAP etc.).
Interim Secret is acceptable for start but Active Secret Clearance strongly preferred
