Seeking a well-rounded DevOps Engineer/Systems Administrator with experience managing systems in a mixed Linux and Windows environment. This position requires the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, ability to change as knowledge and conditions change, whether those changes are technical, or business driven and the ability to continuously seek improvement by acquiring new more relevant knowledge. As a DevOps Engineer/Systems Administrator, you will be working closely with the IT. Operations team and Engineering to support and maintain cloud and on-premise infrastructure

What You Will Do

Support production Windows and Linux servers.

Manage network and application monitoring tools.

Help troubleshoot latencies at the hardware, software, or network level and identify root

causes.

Troubleshoot application alerts from monitoring tools and flow necessary playbook steps to

resolve and escalate appropriately.

Assist the team to standardize, automate and document setup of development and production

environments.

Help define best practices for source control, continuous integration automated testing and

release management.

Collaborate with peers on work estimation/planning and implementation of new

versions/features of tools.

Build tools for internal use to support software engineering best practices.

Bring new automation technologies to improve speed and quality of releasing products.

Help implement new and improve existing monitoring and trending solutions to assist in the

team's ability to identify and respond to issues.

The position will require being available to perform maintenance during non-business hours

and over the weekends.

Help to ensure 24x7 reliability and availability of our products and services.

Plan, organize and coordinate work assignments and prioritize workload.


What You Will Need To Be Successful:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and/or

equivalent work experience plus 5+ or more related experience.

5+ years of experience in a DevOps role with different Linux distributions.

5+ years of robust Windows systems administration experience.

Working knowledge of AWS solutions and components such as EC2 instances, S3, ELB, VPC,

SQS, IAM, Route 53, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CloudFront and other service offerings.

Proficient in automation and configuration tools such as CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef

Proficient in administering source control systems (TFS, SVN, GIT) and branching policies.

Familiarity with application development using the .NET Framework.

Strong coding and scripting skills (.Net, C#, PowerShell, Python, PHP, cmd scripting).

Very good understanding of SQL and relational Databases.

Experience with one or more of these technologies: GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Ansible,

BitBucket.

Experience with multiple cloud computing and storage platforms (AWS, Azure)

Strong background and experience with Windows and Linux configurations.

Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, New Relic)

Possess a solid understanding of both network and systems security.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work towards task completion.

Understanding core business processes (Financial and Distribution) is a plus
