Are you a compassionate individual looking for a rewarding career opportunity as a Support Worker in Birmingham Trust Care Solutions a leading temp staffing agency is seeking dedicated professionals like you to join our team. As a Support Worker youll play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need promoting their wellbeing and independence.

Responsibilities

    • Provide personalised care and support to individuals with daily tasks including personal care meal preparation and medication administration.
    • Foster positive relationships and provide emotional support to individuals creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
    • Implement tailored care plans to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual ensuring their safety and dignity at all times.
    • Monitor individual progress and document changes in their condition maintaining clear communication with healthcare professionals and team members.
    • Promote independence and empower individuals to develop life skills and participate in community activities.
    • Maintain a clean and safe environment adhering to health and safety regulations and infection control measures.

Essential Criteria

    • Mandatory Training in care and support (e.g. the UK Core Skills Training Framework CSTF Mandatory Training OR the Care Certificate).
    • CPI Training (formerly MAPA)
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
    • Compassionate and empathetic approach towards providing care and support.
    • Flexible availability to work various shifts including evenings weekends and bank holidays.
    • Ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm under pressure.

Desirable Criteria

    • Additional training or qualifications related to mental health learning disabilities or complex needs.
    • The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
