Structural Engineer

We are currently in search of our new and firstStructural Engineer. for Soltec North America.
Your goal will be to design the foundations for solar trackers based on the characteristics of the terrain and applicable regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform calculation of wind snow and earthquake loads.
• Prepare calculations analysis and preparation of technical reports.
• Cooperate and provide technical support with the rest of the Engineering departments for the development of projects.
• Offer support to other functions/projects in the area
• Calculation and analysis of solar trackers based on specific international regulations for design and analysis in wind tunnels.
• Preparation of calculation reports and supporting documentation for calculations.
• Support for the development of new products such as metal structures and prototypes.
• Information management to improve designs and processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience calculating with wind tunnel coefficients calculation of metal structures calculation of foundations.
• Preparation of calculation reports data management and use of macros in Excel procedures for preparing experimental tests.
• Training or studies in Industrial or Structural Engineer

Software knowledge:
Robot Structural CYPE Tekla Solidwork ANSYS Matlab ExcelJIRA NAVISION.

PLUS:

• Experience in photovoltaic solar energy.
• Experience in calculating solar trackers.
• Portuguese B2.
