Position: Storage & Backup SME
Location: Dallas TX Onsite

Technical/Functional Skills

Interact with client technical teams to understand transformation requirements and implement solutions consistent with defined terms methodology policy plan and regulations.

Support Cloud transformation projects on an ongoing basis

Identify technical risks or blockers.

Execute tasks assigned by program project team customer and program leadership to ensure proper timely completion of work.

Communicate projects status to clients management.

Minimum 68 years of experience in infrastructure services and storage administration.

Good Knowledge in the Hitachi and NetApp storage technologies

Monitor manage maintain operate and optimize storage backup and recovery environments and resources as modified and implemented during the Term in accordance with Clientprovided relevant storage requirements strategy policies and procedures (e.g. provisioning compute memory networking and storage management).

Recommend storage and data management solutions (e.g. shared/dedicated storage tiered storage platforms supporting infrastructure encryption security scheduling access control) and procedures to meet Toyotas requirements in accordance with storage strategy.

Manage and maintain storage infrastructure (e.g. RAID array SAN NAS).

Develop deployment templates or patterns as requested by Client.

Document and improve storage operational processes.

Maintain data set placement and manage data catalogs.

Maintain and update deployment patterns templates and automation to support tools.

Monitor and assess provisioning services including customer satisfaction and conformance to policies and processes and provide improvement recommendations.

Implement Client approved provisioning services improvements.

Notify Client of any risk to data integrity or data loss.

Perform data and file backups and restores per Client requirements.

Manage and maintain backup and recovery infrastructure.

Manage the media and capacity inventory to ensure that adequate resources are available.

Good understanding of Linux and Windows OS.
