CAbased nonprofit management services client is seeking a directhire Staff Accountant to contribute to a growing accounting team. This is a fully remote opening with great advancement potential and a yearly salary of up to $71000/year depending upon relevant experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete all grant compliance reports and budgettoactual variance reports as needed
- Perform and review general ledger account and bank reconciliations as needed
- Perform monthend close processes and prepare financial statements
- Accurately enter and post journal entries and complete grantcompliance reports
- Responsible for new client training and onboarding
- Assist in yearend audit schedule preparation
- Assist with the entry and review of transactions
- Other duties as needed
- 3 years of experience in accounting or related field
- 2 years of experience working with nonprofits required
- Grant accounting experience is required
- Fund accounting experience is required
- Experience using Abila MIP/Sage Intacct software preferred
- Experience using Excel (entry to midlevel)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
