A wellknown education organization is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant. In this seat you will report directly to the Controller. Looking for a candidate who has 3 years of related accounting experience has a highered or nonprofit background (highly preferred but not required) and has a Bachelors degree.
Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Prepare and review journal entries for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Generate adhoc reports as needed for management analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Staff Accountant.
- Proficient in Great Plains software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Detailoriented with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Associates Degree preferred. Proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets and data entry skills. Minimum of 2 years experience with Accounts Payable.. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment. Attention to detail and accuracy. Judgment, and analyzing information. Communication skills, vendor relationships Problem-solving skills Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
