Staff Accountant

• Prepare general ledger entries
  
• Perform account reconciliations and analyzing expense and revenue variance
  
• Opportunity to perform other accounting functions
  
• Responsible for assisting the Controller in the month end process including preparing and posting journal entries and variance analysis for month end financial statements
  
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  
• Assist in various audits throughout the year (Inventory Petty Cash NonMonetary Compensation)
  
• Financial/Statistical Reporting
  
• Prepare schedules for Quarterly Forecasting/Annual Budgeting
  
• Complete assigned Medicare/Medicaid cost report schedules
  
• Assist with month end vendor accrual process
  
• Special projects as assigned
  

Requirements

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  
• Competent with Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
  
• Previous experience with a computerized general ledger
  
• Selfmotivated and independent able to work with a minimum of supervision
  
• Knowledge of the medical industry and insurance billing a plus
