Staff Accountant

• GL Accounting and excel proficiency is required.
  
• The client is 100% inoffice (onsite) every day.
  
• No Relocation Assistance is provided.
  

• Perform monthly closing activities including analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries
  
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and complete analytical reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure the accuracy and validity of transactions
  
• Provide support and guidance to the operations and finance teams to identify and recommend cost savings or improvements
  
• Prepare special projects as requested by management
  
• Provide support in both the external and SOX audits
  
• Play a key role with establishing implementing and documenting accounting policies and procedures
  
• Assist in the preparation of 10Q and 10K schedules
  
• Other duties as required to assist the department needs
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA or CMA a plus
  
• GL Accounting and Excel proficiency is required.
  
• 1 years experience; manufacturing industry or CPG company a plus
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel (Pivot tables and VLOOKUP s) SAP or comparable ERP system strongly preferred Hyperion a plus
  
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks as well as problem solve with the ability to work independently
