Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the monthend closing process ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Execute and oversee invoicing collections and monthly reconciliation activities.
• Supervise accounting staff guiding them in adherence to accounting policies especially regarding inventory and gross margin.
• Analyze financial variances providing insightful commentary on reports and schedules.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and vendors to facilitate efficient collections and payments.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and schedules as part of the monthly reporting function.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance with Public Accounting experience viewed favorably.
• Proficient in major ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas pivot tables and ideally SQL knowledge.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data from various systems ensuring accurate financial records.
• Strong interpersonal skills capable of building relationships with different levels of the organization.
• Effective written communication abilities.
• Competent in managing multiple tasks within deadlinedriven settings.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Experience in a similar industry or role that demands extensive financial analysis and reporting.
• Proven leadership skills particularly in finance or accounting teams.
• Innovative problemsolving capabilities with a history of improving financial processes.
• Experience in implementing or enhancing ERP systems especially NetSuite.
