The Energy Trading Manager is responsible in ensuring continuous operation of electricity trading of FDCUI power plants in the most economical and optimal way thru a series of process in order to comply with implementing rules and regulations guidelines and protocol issued by WESM IMEM NGCP DOE ERC and other government agencies regarding the dispatching scheduling energy allocation and energy bidding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that traders submits generation schedule accurately and on time.
  • Approve trading strategies to improve profit and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with WESM/IMEM rules for trading operations.
  • Approve final energy allocation for billing.
  • Assess risk regarding electricity market.
  • Coordination with NGCP WESM/IMEM PSALM and other entities regarding electricity trading.
  • Approval of OT DTR travel and other administrative requirement of traders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Economics Statistics Finance or equivalent
  • With at least 5 years of relevant experience in the power industry. Working understanding of Philippine electricity spot market power system operations and analysis.
