Sr. Tax Associate

Salary: $ 88,500.00

We have partnered with a large public accounting firm in the San Diego, CA area to provide them with a Senior Tax Associate.

Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Associate:

• Facilitate and oversee all aspects of the tax return including engagement letters, work papers, client meetings, and tax preparation
• Help train and mentor junior staff
• Growth opportunity- work closely with a retiring partner to insure a smooth transition with their client base.

Requirements of the Senior Tax Associate:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting - Required CPA License preferred
• Solid 3-4 years at one firm
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a public accounting practice
• 5+ years of complex corporate, partnership and individual Tax returns
• Significant experience with heavy real estate and high net worth clients, along with full array of entities
• Experience in 1031's and 754's a plus.
• Experience with Lacerte, Smart Vault, CCH a plus
• Excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
• Strong bookkeeping skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with project deadlines and the ability to multitask
• Able to work additional hours January through April and during extension deadline season.
• Polished and mature
• Authorized to work in the US.
