Client is an IT services and consulting company with offices in Upstate NY and Atlanta, GA. Our business is growing, and to serve our customers in the best possible manner, is looking to hire highly qualified, motivated, industrious professionals. We have multiple open positions for a Consulting Engineer for our Energy Vertical practice. A Consulting Engineer for Energy is a client-focused position with a highly technical skill set that includes Microsoft, VMware, Storage, Networking, cloud architecture, and deployment knowledge.

Technical Skills
Planning, migration, implementation, and management of Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File ServicesDFS, IIS, and Group Policy ObjectsHardening
Planning, implementation, and management of Microsoft Hyper-V and/or VMware vSphere environments
Planning, implementation, and management of Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Services (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Virtual Networking solutions
Planning, and implement of Microsoft Office 365 E-mail, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Teams
Planning and implement of end-user virtual solutions including Remote Desktop Services (RDS), AVD, and VMware Horizon View
Implementation and management of backup technologies that are image and file based. Disaster Recovery and replication technologies such as Veeam Enterprise, VMware Site Recovery Manager, or Azure Site Recovery.
Implementation and administration of Microsoft Enterprise Management Tools such as Intune
Implementation and administration of Enterprise Storage include DELL/EMC, HP, Microsoft, and VMware Software Defined Storage
Implementation and administration of Switch, Routing, Wireless and Firewall networking including Cisco, HP, Meraki, Sonicwall, Ruckus and Barracuda
Experience 3 years+ servicing manufacturing, power generation or a similar industry
Knowledge and experience providing OT (Operational Technology) security and support solutions for automation and control technologies and systems examples include Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems.
Ability to create confidence in environments where system discovery and gap analysis is required and may not be fully understood by clients. Provide solutions to these systems utilizing staged improvements to create insights, resilient and stable Operational Technology systems.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills with first time engagements Projects, Industrial Control Systems, or problems tend to be unique, so critical thinking skills and the ability to communicate across multiple disciplines are essential.
Ability to communicate complex IT/OT network systems and dataflows to stakeholders and provide analysis of risks, requirements, and responsibilities for deployment of new solutions or upgrades
In depth knowledge of OSI Model and the ability to configure production systems at one or more layers. Application, Network, Session level maintaining least privilege and limiting end-user and production impacts this includes LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and more.
Understanding of unique protocols to Industrial Controls, Modbus, DNP3, others.

Education and Certification Requirements:
Experience 5 years+ and Associates Degree or better
Certifications: Microsoft, VMware, storage, and networking
A verbal and written technical assessment is given to potential candidates that must be passed

Requirements for Consulting Engineers
Clean valid U.S. Issued Driver's License
Willingness to travel up to 25% of time
Proven collaborator
Mentoring, education, and technical oversight related to projects and new technologies to internal staff and customers
Broad base of knowledge of the IT services industry and trends
Collaborate with Sales Management to:
o Identify sales opportunities
o Up-sell and cross-sell client
o Proposal development
o Close deals
Collaborate with Security team to harden and make recommendations to customers
Provide daily time accounting and monthly expense report submittal
Maintaining of professional certifications and obtaining new certifications
