Greetings for the day .


We are trying to Source PMP Certified Sr. Project Manager for our direct client for a LongTerm Hybrid project at Albany NY. We need a Senior Project Manager who will provide project management services in support of ITS and the HESC financial aid services platform modernization. This will involve coordination and collaboration with all involved project stakeholders (e.g. ITS HESC vendors) project monitoring and regular reporting.


It will be a LongTerm Hybrid Project based in Albany NY. (Local candidates only)


Job Duties:

Provide guidance and direction to the HESC programs project teams on daytoday project tasks.

Develop the programs formal project plans specifying goals strategy dependencies and scheduling and identifying risks contingency plans and allocation of available resources.

Follow the standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation for all projects being managed within the NYS Project Management Office (PMO).

Identify schedule and manage project deliverables milestones and required tasks.

Assign tasks and responsibilities and drive accountability to project team members.

Direct and coordinate complex business requirements deliveries business process reengineering and organizational change activities.

Direct and coordinate activities of project resources to see that the project progresses on schedule and within budget.

Track projectrelated costs and expenditures.

Facilitate project governance and executive status meetings project team status meetings scrums and recurring agile meetings by defining agendas and running meetings effectively.

Aggregate status updates from project team members track schedules and manage risks and issues as required.

Prepare executive project status reports and keep the team management and all stakeholders informed of project status and related issues resolving and escalating as necessary.

Manage scope and the project change request process (PCR) coordinating the decision process for scope and budgetary impact if there are changes from original specifications.

Track and maintain project and technical documentation.

Manage and maintain project information in the ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) system Information Technology Services (ITS)/ Project Management Shared Services (PMSS) system of record for all services.

Follow established Secure System Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Business or Public Administration Project Management and/or Communications with a minimum of five years relevant experience.

Master s degree in Information Technology Business or Public Administration Project Management and/or Communications with a minimum of three years relevant experience.


Required Skills

Strong analytical and facilitation skills

Experience working with technical teams

Proficiency in developing policy process and procedure documentation

Strong executive level communication and reporting skills

Experience as a Program/Project Manager supporting and overseeing complex technology projects.

Preferred Credentials/Certifications

Prior work with New York State PMP or similar project management certification
