Qualifications for Internal Candidates
B.Tech / M.Tech (Chemical Engineering)
8 15 years of experience is desirable
Should have worked as a process lead in projects of medium scale.
Hands on experience in simulation software and design tools
Knowledge on Indian and international standards preferred.
Experience in basic engineering FEED and Detail engineering projects for Oil & Gas Refinery and Petrochemical sector for Indian and International clients
Senior/Principal Process Engineer should be able to define the sequence of finalizing each of the process documents as per project schedule.
Should be able to communicate / interact with the team effectively and give directions and manage the team.
Should be able to define / understand the project requirements / philosophies and carryout the following process activities independently.
Review / approve design basis
Review / approve Simulation using PROII or HYSYS to finalize the PFD and HMB
Review / approve PFD/UFD and HMB / DPDT
Check / approve process calculation for Pumps and Compressors
Check / approve Pump and Compressor datasheets
Check / approve datasheets for other equipment and packages
Define / provide process inputs for preparation of MSD
Review options for line sizing for the pumped and nonpumped lines based on economic criteria and operating / capital cost calculations.
Check / approve P&IDs PSFS and C&E diagrams
Check / approve Control narratives and other philosophies
Check design calculations for two phase and three phase separators KODs / Flare KODs.
Check control valve design calculations and optimize the design
Check safety relief calculations as per relevant API standards
Check process documents line list HMS and Utility summary
Conduct dynamic simulation study transient study surge study Minimum Metal Design Temperature (MDMT) study etc.
Conduct depressurization studies flare load estimation and flare system design
Coordinate with drafting team engineering team for process inputs and drawing preparation and issue to client
Coordinate / attend project review and 3D model review meetings with client / vendors
Should attend safety studies like Hazop / Hazid and SIL assessment and undertake closeout activities for open points identified in these meetings.
Should be able to lead a medium size project independently and manage the team effectively.
