Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Read, understand and implement written laboratory procedures.

• Perform routine manufacturing/ production tasks on different product lines as assigned.

• Handle and work with biological and chemical reagents.

• Set-up and operate equipment including pipettes, centrifuges, Flow cytometric analyzers, PCRs and others related to assigned task.

• Monitor in-house inventories and supplies including cycle counts and SAP entries.

• Review data and recognize and report data inconsistencies.

• Assist in developing, writing and instituting necessary documents.

• Train other lower-level staff in Pre-production procedures.

• Initiate reports related to nonconformances.

• Solve problems related to the process, troubleshoot, and support solution generation.

• Communicate with multiple functional groups with a variety of technical backgrounds.

• Follow all safety requirements and escalate issues and concerns

• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives

• Look for opportunities to improve process as to drive efficiencies.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• A combination of education and experience that confer the needed manufacturing, scientific, and laboratory technical skills will be considered such as:-

• High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of related laboratory experience or 2 years college course work in Biotechnology, Sciences, or other technical field.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher learning institution with a degree in a technical or scientific field

• Strong ability to write, investigative SOPs and other documents in standard English.

• Good math skills, algebra or higher.

• Ability to read, analyze and generate data in graph formats or other analytical tools.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

• Strong organizational, record-keeping, and data analysis skills.

• Able to work under critical and shifting timelines while remaining productive.

• Demonstrates a sense of urgency, contagious optimism and a 'can do' attitude.

• Ability to work overtime and nonstandard work schedules as required to meet production schedule.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Frequently work at laboratory workstation, operating equipment, low temperature freezers, and computer workstations.

• Some lifting of objects including laboratory instrumentation of 35 pounds.

• Some travel may be required.

• May handle human blood, serum, sharps such as needles, and other biologic substances of human and animal origin.
