The ideal Sr. Maintenance Manager is a handson and responsible for all preventive and routine maintenance tasks within a food manufacturing facility. The Sr. Maintenance Manager works with staff to ensure maximum equipment efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Machine maintenance breaking down equipment adjusting and setting up for daily production
Preventative maintenance which includes daily and weekly inspection
Develops budgets for plant maintenance projects and line improvements
Schedules supervises and directs work of staff
Evaluates performance and works with Plant Manager regarding personnel issues
Able to work overtime and be on call for emergency situations which it may include weekends
Requirements
Minimum 510 years experience in maintenance in a FOOD production/facility
3 years supervisory experience
Experience with SQF or other GFSI program
College degree in mechanical electrical or industrial engineering or equivalent experience
Must be a proactive team player
Reacts quickly to find solutions when faced with problems and able to have an open mind approach
Excellent mechanical and electrical skills
Must be able to work with power tools and work on high and low voltages
Own tools
Prior experience working with equipment such as Slicers Sealers Flow wrappers & Labelers
Able to read engineering schematics such as electrical mechanical plumbing hydraulic and pneumatic
Welding experience
Light Carpentry
Excellent communication skills
Able to interact with all levels of personnel
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
