Sr Machine Design Engineer

Are you a Senior Design Engineer with expertise in machine or robotic systems design

To join this exciting organization and team you will be working closely with project and application engineers to create innovative robotic system designs. This role includes using AutoCAD. Solid Edge or SolidWorks tools ensuring compliance with industry standards and collaborating with crossfunctional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Experience and knowledge of Epicor system features for project management and design.
• Extract customer needs from specifications and documentation.
• Adhere to ISO procedures and provide process improvement feedback.
• Develop layouts and bills of material for automated systems.
• Evaluate component characteristics for design and cost objectives and participate in design review meetings.
• Identify opportunities for design improvements and Analyze test results and implement design changes.
• Create accurate production release drawings and review and approve engineering change requests.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Provide innovative design solutions based on customer requirements.
• Mentor junior designers and coop engineers.
• Evaluate designs for compliance with industry standards.
• Consider quality and customer satisfaction in all projects.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 years experience in machine or system design.
• Associate or bachelors degree: mechanical Electrical Engineering or related degree
• Must be Proficient in 3D modeling and AutoCAD SolidWorks or Solid Edge
• Responsible for drawing designing and approving equipment assembly electrical or pneumatic schematics.
• Apply DFMA mechanical techniques and understand manufacturing processes.
• Some travel required.
