Independently develops and maintains software applications. Works on complex analytical and programming tasks requiring knowledge of programming languages and data communications and general knowledge of the business operations/customer supported. Leads development and maintenance efforts supporting software application. May function as a Project Manager on smaller projects.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer (Server Side) the ideal candidate will be:
Responsible for implementation and delivery of new server side components micro services web api and enhancements to the BestX product
Exhibit superior skills in modern Agile Cloudbased Server side DB Development.
Develop understanding in the area of Transaction Cost Analysis and key benchmarks required for MiFID and MiFIR
Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the application and influencing technology decisions
Responsible for taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through completion
Responsible for establishing best practices cleancode and design patterns.
Be passionate about driving change through an organization
A proponent of Test Driven Development always striving to Shift Left so as to facilitate effective CI/CD

Qualifications:
Individual should have at least a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent
Individual should have at least 6 or more years of demonstrated handson experience building stateoftheart and high performance web front ends using React and/or Angular JavaScript frameworks.
10 Years Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java C or C# including objectoriented design distributed (multitiered) systems algorithms and relational databases such as PostGres
7 years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
Proven knowledge/expertise in FX/Fixed Income/Equity/ Equity Derivatives products
Handson experience working with AWS and/or other modern cloud based infrastructure.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Looking for experience in FIX messaging service caching technologies and hands experience in AWS
