Sr Application Developer

Job Description: The Senior Application Developer is responsible for creating and implementing changes to applications and is expected to keep uptodate with the latest technology in application development information delivery and relational database technology.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Designs constructs and puts into operation fully integrated systems.
2. Creates and implements test plans to evaluate the technical performance of infrastructure and systems provides reports on discoveries and suggests improvements.
3. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the departments strategic business plans.
4. Develop a deep understanding of the companys existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology assortment.
5. Conducts research on emerging technologies to support infrastructure development endeavors and suggests technologies that enhance costeffectiveness and infrastructure adaptability.
6. Performs other assigned or necessary duties.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1. Advanced comprehension of information processing principles and methodologies.
2. Intermediate technical proficiency in network PC and platform operating systems including current Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop versions.
3. Expertise in programming languages such as VB6 C C# and ASP.
4. Basic understanding of pertinent data privacy regulations and practices.
5. Advanced analytical conceptual and problemsolving skills.
6. Profound understanding of the organizations objectives and goals.
7. Intermediate written and verbal communication abilities.
8. Advanced interpersonal and consultative capabilities.
9. Ability to communicate ideas effectively in userfriendly terms.
10. Capacity to prioritize and carry out tasks effectively in highpressure settings.

MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:

1. A bachelors degree in computer science information systems or computer engineering or equivalent practical experience.
2. Over 5 years of experience working as a developer.
3. More than 5 years of experience in business requirements gathering and analysis.
4. Over 3 years of handson experience with application development tools including Visual Studio 6 and Visual Studio .NET.
5. More than 3 years of handson experience with relational database technology preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
6. Over 3 years of experience working in a collaborative environment is preferred.
7. Demonstrated expertise in developing internetbased systems.
