SQL DBA

Position: SQL DBA

Location: St Louis MO

Seeking an Application/SQL DBA who will be responsible for the implementation configuration maintenance and performance of critical SQL Server systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of the enterprise applications. In addition the DBA will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the OnPrem Warehouse ensuring its operational readiness (security health and performance) executing data loads performing DDL/DML activities including Views Stored Procedures Triggers etc. in support of the development work.

• 10 years Application/SQL DBA experience required
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Experience with backups restores and recovery models
• Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Experience with Failover clustering and SAN replication
• Experience with SQL Server merge peer to peer or transactional replication
• Experience with Analysis Services Integration Services or Reporting Services
• Writing TSQL from scratch C# code or generally building anything from scratch
• Experience working with Windows server including Active Directory
• Experience with Views Stored Procedures Triggers Synonyms Cursors PL/SQL Linked Servers etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to organize and plan work independently
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to multitask and contextswitch effectively between different activities and teams
